FWIW - Officials said the same about Air France 447 and that turned out to be gross pilot error (after instrument error).

I know, just adding that in there. Still wonder what the heck's happened to the plane. Nobody's owned up to terrorism (yet), and obviously the plane tracked far off course over land or water before meeting its ultimate demise.
Seeing how much media attention it's getting, it would definitely make a bold statement for a terrorist organization...
